Wintry Weather Warning

The Met Office have issued an early warning of a heavy snow event expected for the South East in the early hours of Friday, with an advisory warning of a moderate risk of snow affecting the Isle of Wight.

Locally, Wroxall Weather  state: “No snow accumulation expected” but Paul@wroxall-weather.co.uk has just emailed the news: “Possibility of more winter weather over the next day or so“  for more local weather news click here:

Hampshire Constabulary are reinforcing their warnings to the public to take extra care and state the conditions will be compounded with more snow across the entire county and the Isle of Wight first thing.

Superintendent Phil Winchester said:

“The force and its partner agencies are preparing now for the hazardous conditions anticipated this evening, and urge all motorists and road users to do the same.  

“Also remember that if you have elderly or vulnerable residents in your neighbourhood, take some time to knock on their door and check that they are safe and warm.”  

Road users across the South East are being warned to expect more severe weather in the next few days.
