The Isle of Wight Festival in June and Bestival in September with headline acts like The Police, the Kaiser Chiefs and the Sex Pistols already announced for 2008, sell out as soon as tickets are available.

The Isle of Wight Jazz Festival in April is highly rated while the Island’s diverse landscape and coastline provides the setting for the adrenalin-fuelled White Air Extreme Sports Festival in September and the ever-popular Walking Festival which celebrates its tenth year in May.

No matter what time of year it is, there are exciting events for young and old.  One of the best things is the Islands location and opportunity for sailors to take advantage of its unique position.  Round the Island visitors can find their sea legs and free try sailing taster sessions will be available during Skandia Cowes Week in August.
