Wight Diamonds & Police March In Time For Barely Born

The Wight Diamonds Marching Band are staging a joint band concert with the Band of the Hampshire Constabulary at Cowes Yacht Haven at 3.00pm on November 1st 2009.

As the Wight Diamonds Marching Band have nominated the Barely Born Appeal as its charity for 2010 funds will be raised for this worthy Island cause.

Hampshire Constabulary’s Concert Band is an entertaining symphonic band covering many genres of music from the original wind music to stage, show and pop tunes. The Band performs a balanced and interesting programme tailored to the client’s requirements. The band performs at several concert venues throughout the year and is available for public hire in both commercial and charity work. Wight Diamonds are a community band that was formed in January 2000.  With a current membership of 45 musicians of mixed ages and ability, both male and female.  The motto of the band, “Music with Friendship”, was not, just thought of as so many words but formed the core approach to all that the band does.  The band continues to grow and develop, not only as a band, but a wonderful group of people that enhance themselves and their community. more information on the website here: www.wightdiamondsmarchingband.org
