Vote Of Confidence After IW Council Leadership Challenge.

Leader of the Isle of Wight Council Cllr David Pugh (pictured) won an overwhelming vote of confidence last night (Wednesday) after his leadership was challenged over controversial plans in changes to Island education.
The Leader David Pugh won the vote of confidence before the Council meeting by 27 votes to 6. However, the meeting was not without some discontent and four resignations were announced, Councillors Patrick Joyce, Vanessa Churchman, Win McRobert and Anne Bishop all declared they were leaving the Tory Group.
