Following news that three Isle of Wight websites have been awarded final places in the Hantsweb Awards 2009, we now find this year the public are invited to vote too!
Hantsweb have announced the last minute category The Best ‘Public Voted’ website, which allows you the public to have your say!
Isle of Wight finalists include: Matt & Cats IOW Eating Out Guide, Isle of Wight Council , and The Real Island Food Company .
All you have to do is choose your favourite finalists website hopefully from the three listed above and vote by visiting the Hantsweb website click here:
Voting closes on 21st February 2010 and The Best ‘Public Voted’ website will be announced at the Awards Ceremony in February.

Update: A reader wrote of our failure to include (as have others) the Ellen MacArthur Trust and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust websites as being up for the Hantsweb Awards. Please note our response: It is unclear as to whether those websites could be named as being from the Isle of Wight as their centre of operations are in the main based on the mainland in Hampshire.
