After our underwater themed show last year (literally!) this year’s Bestival was once again graced with a scorching weekend of sun and intergalactic fun at our Outer Space Spectacular. This year we offered up almost 300 bands playing across 17 stages across a brand new site layout, amazing headline sets from Massive Attack, Kraftwerk and Elbow, one of the summer’s strongest dance line ups and, of course, those extra-special little touches that make Bestival such a magical experience, all laid on with love especially for your pleasure. We’re proud as punch that Bestival has been nominated for the prestigious Best Medium Sized Festival category so if you had an interstellar weekend of fun at Robin Hill please make sure you head straight over to www.festivalawards.com and show us some love by voting for us!

2009 really has been an incredible year – Camp Bestival’s second outing in the salubrious surrounds of Lulworth Castle was a real smash hit with a truly universal crowd of families and thrill seekers enjoying the likes of living legend Mr Tumble and the joyous SpongeBob SquarePants. We worked our socks off making a host of improvements to the campsites, amenities and food concessions plus we laid on kids entertainment galore to ensure an incredible time was had by the young and the young at heart. With a stunning solo appearance from PJ Harvey, hip-shaking headline spots from Kid Creole & The Coconuts and Nile Rodgers & Chic and a bass-quaking dubstep line up that would put a lot other festies to shame, there were plenty of highlights for both the young and old so it’s deeply rewarding to have been nominated for the Family Festival Award.  We’ve left no stone unturned in! our quest to create the perfect environment for the whole family to enjoy the best of the festival experience so please make sure you let your feelings about us be known at www.festivalawards.com

The first round of voting closes on the 14th October when the shortlist nominations will be announced for a second round of voting. As an extra special attraction enticing you to vote you could win a pair of tickets to every single winning festival next year, that could be more than 10 festivals!
