Vote For A White Christmas On Wight
Nov 11th, 2009 | By Amanda Johnson | Isle of Wight News From The Island PulseImagine Father Christmas, reindeer, elves, snow, presents and lashings of food and drink inspired by Marco Pierre White on the Isle of Wight? This year with your public votes phone giant Nokia could indeed bring a fun Finnish Christmas to the Isle of Wight.
The chance of winning this festive competition nearly didn’t happen for the Isle of Wight because the Island was initially left off the Nokia fun Finnish Christmas list.
Due to logistics Nokia initially said it couldn’t afford to ship tonnes of fake snow, reindeer and Father Christmas across to the Island.
After media pressure from Isle of Wight Radio and the Isle of Wight County Press Islanders can start dreaming of a white Christmas once more.
People from the Island are now being allowed to enter the draw, with the most voted for UK town or city winning the prize of a Finnish Christmas market, complete with eight tonnes of fake snow, reindeer and Father Christmas.
Isle of Wight residents must register their votes by Monday 16th November at 9.00am, So vote NOW here: Isle of Wight Radio or here: Isle of Wight County Press for the Isle of Wight to win…
