Volunteers Required For Air Ambulance

Feb 3rd, 2010 | By Carolyn Keene | Isle of Wight News From The Island Pulse

More volunteers are needed to help keep the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance flying and saving lives as the charity is in desperate need of more volunteers to meet demand.

Volunteer roles could include talking to groups of people and organisations, manning stalls at events, raising funds in the community and from businesses, and helping with administrative tasks in the head office.  In return for volunteering you will be given full training and support, not to mention the fulfilment of knowing that your help is keeping the helicopter and it’s crew flying.

John Perry, chief executive officer of the charity, said:

‘We are looking for people interested in volunteering and who have a range of skills, which we will endeavour to support and enhance.

‘Volunteers make such a difference to a Charity, and without them we couldn’t provide the service we do, so we aim to look after you while you look after us.’

To volunteer call Kirsty Watts on (023) 8033 3377 or visit www.hiow-airambulance.org.uk
