Ventnor Putting Green Concessionaires Retire

What a wonderful warm and sunny day to say goodbye to Sue and Chris Cooper on their last day of running the Putting Green and Kiosk at Ventnor Park.

Sue (pictured) and Chris have been running this venue in Ventnor Park for quite a few years and on Sunday 2nd October, they closed the kiosk doors and look forward to retirement.

On Sunday afternoons throughout the summer acts have played and sung in the bandstand, and it was nice to see so many people come to listen to the music and wish the couple all the best for the future.

Five acts including the Five O’clock Shadows. Martin Hoy, The Hooleys, Creeky Folk and Reminisc, performed on the putting green and in the Bandstand for Sue and Chris’s chosen charity the Stroke Unit at St Mary’s.
