Ventnor Botanic Garden Christmas Food and Gift Fair

Start the festive season in style with the Christmas Food and Gift Fair at Ventnor Botanic Garden on the 11th and 12th December 10am – 4pm.

Stock up with wonderful homemade shortbread, mince pies, chutneys and gorgeous meringues all made at the Royal Garden Cafe by the talented Bridget Wells and her team. The menu at the weekend will also feature warming seasonal soups, indulgent cakes and mulled wine.

The Friends of Ventnor Botanic Garden will be holding traditional wreath making workshops twice a day. The ultimate eco-decoration will be made out of leaves and twigs foraged from around the garden. Spaces are limited so please call Sally on 01983 731403 to book your place – £12 fee.

There will also be plenty of gifts and stocking fillers ranging from ceramics, fairtrade hampers, jewelery, ethical-fashion, cards and live music from Me and My Sister.

‘There is so much talent, dedication and creativity on the island. The Fair is a great way of bringing the community, local businesses, craftsmen and artists together at this very special time of year,’ says William Bailey owner of The Royal Hotel.

And what better way to walk off that extra mince pie, than by exploring the extraordinary beauty of the wonderful winter garden.  Entry is Free and there is to be a raffle in aid of The Friends of Ventnor Botanic Garden.
