In February 2007 Isle of Wight Council set up a special Investigatory and Disciplinary Committee to look into serious failures in the Council’s processes in relation to the procurement of contractors for the Undercliff Drive project in Ventnor.
The full investigation has now been reported and published online at the Isle of Wight Council website.
Of the report: Cllr George Brown, Chairman of the IDC and Deputy Leader of the Council, said:
“We hope that by releasing the full DIP report, the public can see just how seriously below standard the performance of Mr Wilkinson fell and why it would not be appropriate to allow his return to work.â€
