Two Men Arrested After Fight At Bus Station

Isle of Wight Police are appealing for witnesses after a fight involving two men was reported at Newport bus station.

Officers were called to South Street in the town shortly after 3pm on Saturday, June 9th, 2012.

The men involved received face and hand injuries.

Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Newport police station by phoning 101. Mini-Com users can call 01962 875000. Information can  be given anonymously by phoning the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

A 44-year-old man from Freshwater and a 43-year-old man from Newport were both arrested on suspicion of affray. They were questioned and later bailed until July 10, 2012.
