The Queen’s Birthday Honours List for 2012 has just been announced.
Anthony Howard Norman Roberts has been awarded an OBE for services in the Medical Field, Ornithology and to the community on the Isle of Wight.
While an MBE for services to Primary Care has been awarded to Dr Mark Denman-Johnson, the Director of Lighthouse Medical Limited.
People of outstanding merit
Anyone can nominate someone for an award, but only exceptional people receive one. Those honoured work in a wide range of fields. Honours lists are published twice a year at New Year and in mid-June on the date of the Queen’s official birthday. The honours lists contain a wide variety of people from different backgrounds.
