Temporary Closure Of Forest Road Civic Amenity Site.
Jun 30th, 2008 | By Anna Symcox | Isle of Wight News From The Island PulseThe Forest Road Civic Amenity Site in Newport will be closed to the public on Saturday 5th July to enable staff to carry out health and safety improvements.
The work involves the repainting of road markings and can only be carried out in dry weather and when there are no vehicular movements in and out of the site.
If it is raining, the site will therefore remain open to the public as usual and the work will be re-scheduled for the next dry Saturday.
Members of the public are reminded that both the Lynnbottom and Afton Civic Amenity Sites will be open as usual on Saturday, and the Forest Road Site will be open as usual on Sunday 6th July.
The Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience these necessary works will cause.
