STOP PRESS: Italee & Thabani In T Bone Afrika
Afro Beat at the Boathouse in Ventnor is turning out to be real showtime. Following the news: Live Free Music @ The Spyglass Inn The magnificent Jamaican singer, Italee, who has worked with Sting, UB40, Dave Stewart and Eddy Murphy in an illustrious career to date, is coming over to Ventnor especially tonight with Thabani Nyoni, to sing with T Bone Afrika.
Kicking off at 7.30pm at the Boathouse of Ventnor’s Spyglass Inn, the gig is impromptu southern african Afro Beat with Djembé, acapella vocals and aims to raise funds in support of an African child.
Taking the chance to appear with Thabani and Italee, as well as have some fun, are Island musicians Mick Smith, Jamie Thorpe, Rob Berry, Faber Cunningham and Leila Misani.
Entry is free but a donation to African Child would be appreciated.
Recent Island Pulse News: T-BONE AFRIKA an artist from the shores of Bulawayo, will appear in a free live concert tonight at the Spyglass Inn. Guests include Thabani Nyoni, who last appeared on the Island at the IW Jazz Festival and local musicians Jamie Thorpe on guitar and, hopefully, Norman King on sax.
The Spyglass Inn offers live entertainment most days of the week. From classical guitar, to folk and traditional jazz there is something to suit everyone.

The spyglass and it’s sister pubs around the island regularly feature big name acts from touring professionals around the world. The music usually starts at around 8.30pm in the evening and 1.00pm at lunchtime. In the summer, bands will often play outside in the newly renovated ‘Boathouse’.
