Sports Centre Wight On For Youth Activities.

Several events coming up for young people include snorkelling, swimming, football, basketball, badminton, not forgetting the snap dance and sports night.
YOUTH SPORTS NIGHT
Saturday 3rd May 5.30 - 8pm. For young people in school years 7 and over. Just £2 admission - have a try at snorkelling, swim, play football, basketball, badminton, have a go at our quiz(£10 cash prize!), or just chill in the cafe and play less energetic games.
JUNIOR YOUTH CLUB
Starting on May 7th and then every Wednesday from 3.30 - 6 there will be a club for children in school years 4, 5, 6 and 7 based at the Sports and Youth Centre. Play sport, relax in the chill zone, play pool, table top football or do some crafts….in fact we want your ideas on what you would like to do so that this can be your club - we want a more exciting name as well! NATIONAL POOL LIFEGUARD COURSE
If you are aged over 16, then this course is the essential pre-requisite to gaining employment as a swimming pool lifeguard. It runs from May 19th - 24th. Call the Centre for more details.
TRAMPOLINING
We run trampolining classes for Primary and Middle school age children on Tuesdays after school. Give us a call to find out more.
MAY HALF TERM
In May half term there will be swimming lessons, as well as snorkelling and trampolining classes - all bookable, so please call us to find out more. Don’t forget also that it is FREE to swim in school holidays if you are an Isle of Wight resident and aged under 16.
SNAP DANCE AND SPORTS NIGHT
May 24th sees our next dance and sports night for those in school year 7 and above. 7.30 - 10.30 - disco, swimming, football. Just £3.50 to get in.
And finally…WEST WIGHT TRIATHLON.
Open to adults aged 16 or over. Now’s the time to start training! It’s a 600 metre swim, 35 km cycle followed by a 7.5 km run. Enter as an individual or as a team. Find out more at www.westwight.co.uk/triathlon.
