Shanklin Christmas Tree Festival

The Shanklin Christmas Festival is about to take place on the Isle of Wight and many activities and events planned to take place throughout the town.
To get you in the mood, the Shanklin Christmas Tree Festival (pictured) is to start on Thursday 6th to 9th December in Shanklin Methodist Church. The Church will have a stunning display of Christmas trees, decorated and provided by local charities and interest groups.
At Shanklin Festival on Saturday 8th December there promises to be entertainments from Regent Street to the Old Village, a great day of music and fun will take place. Commencing at 10.30 am the day will include Morris Dancers, Bell Ringers, Ladies Barber Shop Singers, Face Painting, Dog Ability, Irish Dancers, Fire Eating, Brass bands, Ghost walks and much more.

Including a treasure hunt, details on Treasure Hunt is available from Shanklin Tourist Information Centre from 30th November. The hunt starts from Shanklin Conservative Club and forms must be returned by 10pm on Sat 8th December to The Crab Inn, Shanklin Old Village – first prize of £50.
