Scrap Your Car @ Scrap My Motor For Free Southern Vectis Bus Travel.

Southern Vectis have taken vehicle scrappage to a new level on the Isle of Wight, by offering FREE bus travel.

If you’ve got a car bike or van sat on the drive that you can’t really afford to keep running or replace, or if you just want to go green, here’s something to think about…

Southern Vectis has brought in the Really Green Car Scrappage Scheme, allowing residents to swap an old car, scooter, moped or van — even if they have only one day’s MOT left — for a £720 ticket to use their bus network for a year.

All vehicles are eligible if they meet these simple conditions:

• The car must have an MOT in place when you sign up.
• It must be drivable – you will need to bring it to us to sign up,
  and be able to drive it to our Island scrappage centre.
• The car must be registered to the person who gets the free
  travel pass.
• The car must have been registered to the person who gets the
  free travel pass for at least 6 months.

Scrap My Motor states:

• We’ll arrange to inspect your car and the documents required at a convenient time.
• We’ll offer you between 6 and 12 months’ travel based on our valuation of your vehicle.
• We’ll draw up all the documents you will need to sign and supply these to you when we inspect your vehicle.
• Between 2 and 10 days later (in which time you can change your mind) you deliver your vehicle to us at our Island scrappage centre.
• Once we’ve exchanged the relevant documents, and verified that your vehicle is in the same condition as when we inspected it, we will give you your bus pass which will be immediately valid for travel.
• Wave your car goodbye – we’ll even take a picture of you
  saying goodbye!
• The pass is non refundable either in whole or part.
• The exchange in its entirety is non refundable and is absolute.
