School Admission Forms Deadline Approaches

Nov 26th, 2008 | By Simon Butler | Isle of Wight News From The Island Pulse

A timely reminder for Island parents, have you completed your child’s school admission form for 2009?

There is only a few days left for parents on the Isle of Wight to submit their childrens school admission forms ahead of the 28th November deadline.  If forms are not returned, parents may not get a place for their child at the preferred school next year.

Application packs were sent via schools and pre-schools to mums and dads of the 4000-plus children who will transfer or begin school in just ten months time.

It is very important that the forms are received by Isle of Wight Council’s Admissions Office at County Hall in Newport by 4.30pm on 28th November. Parents have until the deadline to either post, hand deliver or submit their forms online, the admission forms should not be returned to the schools.

If parents have already submitted the forms by post they will have been sent a letter, or an email if the form was completed online, confirming the school where their child has been reserved a place, on 2nd March 2009.

Anyone with any queries should ring the Admissions Office by telephoning 823455 or emailing school.admissions@iow.gov.uk
