‘Sailing for Heroes’ Supporting ‘Help for Heroes’

2nd-4th July 2010: A FUNDRAISING EVENT FOR THE FORCES’ CHARITY ‘HELP FOR HEROES’ Yarmouth Harbour Commission is to ‘Honour Our Troops’

‘Help for Heroes’ raises money to support members of the Armed Forces wounded in the service of their country.

Donations to the charity provide direct, practical support to aid the recovery of injured personnel, and funds projects such as the new rehabilitation centre at Headley Court. ‘Help For Heroes’ also supports other service charities, including the sailing initiative ‘Toe In The Water’.

Visit Yarmouth, 2nd-4th July 2010, for ‘Sailing For Heroes’ and land based fundraising events, and show your appreciation for these extraordinary men and women.

SHORESIDE DAYTIME ENTERTAINMENT

Don’t worry if you’re not a sailor, you can still do your bit and help raise funds shoreside!  Entry to daytime events on Yarmouth Green is free.

While racing is taking place on the water, there will be plenty of military themed things to see and do for all the family around Yarmouth and in the Harbour, including:-

  • ‘Mini-Military Manouvers’
  • Military displays
  • Music entertainment, and bar facility on Yarmouth Green
  • ….and much more!
