Ryde Town Arts Festival begins on Friday and there will be a spectacular carnival procession through Ryde town and other entertainments on Saturday 30th June 2012.
Now in it’s 11th year, the Ryde Arts Festival is the largest mixed arts event to take place on the Isle of Wight. 29th June – 7th July 2012.
Over 1000 performers will take part in the Island’s largest mixed arts event and one of the highlights of the festival is the Ryde Arts Parade, which involves hundreds of performers who don elaborate costumes and take part in a procession on Saturday 30th June.
This must-see parade has all the excitement and panache of a flamboyant Mardi gras carnival and marks the start of Ryde Arts Festival, a nine day infusion of local artists, musicians and performers featured events staged at various locations throughout the town, both indoors and out.
