You’re invited to do something amazing and take part in Race for Life 2009 on the Isle of Wight.

It is one of the most prestigious charity events of the year, now, organisers of Race for Life are inviting women of all ages on the Isle of Wight to make this year’s event the biggest and best yet.

Cancer Research UK are delighted to be hosting a Race for Life event on Sunday 26th July 2009 at 11:00 in Medina Playing Fields and Seaclose Park.

Enter Isle of Wight Race for Life 2009 and be one of 1200 women who will walk, jog or run 5k to help us smash our fundraising target of £58,000 for Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.

Cancer Research UK Race for Life is the UK’s largest women only fundraising event where women everywhere are invited to do something amazing and come together to simply walk, jog or run 5k and raise money to help beat cancer.

In 2008 Race for Life nationally raised an amazing £44 million for Cancer Research UK! As the leading independent funder of cancer research in Europe, this is an incredible achievement and has made a huge impact in our ability to help save lives.

This year we need to raise £62.5 million to help continue funding the work of over 4500 doctors, nurses and scientists dedicated to finding new ways to diagnose, treat and prevent cancer.

We hope you will join the thousands of women who will come together at over 230 events this summer to help raise vital funds for our life-saving work.
