Isle of Wight Age Concern is holding an event today Tuesday 7th February to help spread the Helping Hand message on the Digital TV Switchover.
The Rowridge transmitter, serving the Isle of Wight, will begin to switch to digital on 7 March 2012. Although eligible people in the Rowridge transmitter area have been posted a Help Scheme www.helpscheme.co.uk information pack older and disabled people may still require more hands on help in explaining the switch to digital TV.
If you think you could lend a Helping Hand, simply pop along to Newport Library today 10.00 am to 1pm.
Helping Hand leaflets and information will be available so that people can ‘lend a Helping Hand’ and tell someone they know about the National Switchover Help Scheme.
