Police Seek Witnesses To Ryde Traffic Collision

Isle of Wight Police are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in Ryde. 

At around 2.45pm on Sunday, December 18 police were called to a three vehicle road traffic collision on Brading Road, Ryde; by the roundabout leading to the Tesco store.

A 41-year-old local man had to be cut from his Ford Fiesta after suffering neck and head injuries.  He was transferred to St Marys Hospital for treatment.
 
Five other people received minor injuries.  They did not require hospital treatment.
 
PC Geoff Turner, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision involving two Ford Fiestas and an Audi.
 
“In particular we would like to trace the driver of a silver car who turned into Tescos immediately prior to the incident.”
 
Anyone with information are asked to contact PC Geoff Turner of the Roads Policing Unit at Shanklin Police Station on 101.
