Police Appeal After Body Found In Ryde.
Feb 28th, 2008 | By Island Pulse | Isle of Wight News From The Island PulseCarolyn Keene reports: Isle of Wight Police are appealing for information after the body of a man was discovered at Ryde cemetery. The body was found by a member of the public at around 7.12am on Wednesday, February 27th.
Detectives are not treating the death as suspicious but are seeking help to identify the deceased.Â
The man is described as: In his late 30s to early 40s, 6ft, Slim build, Wearing grey sports jacket, dark jeans and black shoes, Grey, curly, collar-length hair
He was found with a tobacco tin on him which had a distinctive Ying-Yang symbol on the top.
DC Jamie Wilkinson from Newport CID said:Â
“We believe the man is from the local area of Ryde, but there is nothing on him to suggest who he is.
“I would appeal to anyone who recognises the description of this man to contact us. We’d also like to hear from anyone who is concerned for the welfare of a missing loved-one.â€
