Online Christmas Card Campaign
Nov 18th, 2009 | By Jenny Button | Isle of Wight News From The Island Pulse
Save time, save waste, keep christmas is the watchword of the very ‘Considerate Christmas’ campaign from Everyclick.com that enables the public to send an e-card to their friends, family or colleagues in return for a donation to their favourite charity.
Every Christmas greetings e-card can be personalised, and there is the option to add a video and image. Cards can then be sent immediately or on a set date.
The e-cards can also be used by companies to send Christmas greetings to their associates and customers.
Everyclick point out that, unlike traditional charity Christmas cards from high street shops, its e-cards result in up to 121 per cent of the donation going to charity, if the donation is made by Gift Aid.
Everyclick point out that sending traditional printed Christmas cards is wasteful in that it results in 50,000 tonnes of card being used simply to convey ‘best wishes’.
Everyclick’s founder Polly Gowers said:
“We want to help people stay in touch and send a gift that really counts this Christmas and at the same time raise valuable funds for all Britain’s best loved charities. Let’s make this Christmas about making a difference for those that need it most.”
