Ofsted Whistleblowing Pilot

Sep 23rd, 2009 | By Amanda Johnson | Isle of Wight News From The Island Pulse

Ofsted is piloting a whistleblower hotline. The hotline will enable council employees and those working with young children to report concerns about practices and procedures for the safeguarding of children and young people.

Whistleblowing is very different from making a complaint.

Before you call, please visit the safeguarding children: Ofsted’s whistleblower hotline page to find out more about:

  • whistleblowing
  • the difference between whistleblowing and complaining
  • the hotline.

The hotline is 08456 404046. Its email is whistleblowing@ofsted.gov.uk.
