Fans of arts and crafts can get the latest information about forthcoming displays in a newly-released booklet.
The Isle of Wight Artists Open Studios 2010 Booklet features almost 100 artists and crafts makers working locally and gives detailed information including examples of work, biographies, dates and locations and also directions to individual Open Studios which take place in artists’ homes, gardens or studio venues.
The booklet contains details of artists participating in Open Studios in July. Open Studios is an event that supports the professional development of local artists and crafts people.
It is also the biggest non-gallery visual arts event on the Island with over 4000 visitors last year, this year promises to be bigger than ever.
The booklet replaces the Arts Directory and can be picked up at the Quay Arts, libraries and Tourist Information Centres and other selected outlets around the Island.
It can also be downloaded via the Internet at www.isleofwightarts.com
Further information can be obtained by calling Nina Cullinane, Isle of Wight Council Arts Development Officer, on (01983) 823813.
