New IOW NHS 2012 Guide to Volunteering

The ‘NHS Isle of Wight Guide to Volunteering’ is a new, free magazine that has been produced to highlight the many ways volunteers can contribute to the work of the NHS. Volunteer work is extremely varied, very rewarding and highly valued by patients, visitors and staff at St Mary’s. Inside the magazine you will find information on the different voluntary roles available.

There are also helpful answers to questions you may ask before considering taking up voluntary work. The magazine is available on the St Mary’s website www.iow.nhs.uk/volunteer or at various local locations across the island.

Richard Dent, Volunteer Co ordinator said “I very much hope that islanders will find this magazine of interest and enjoy finding out what voluntary work is available. People volunteer for many different reasons and we always need new people to join us so if you feel after reading this magazine that volunteering is something you would like to try then please don’t hesitate to contact me on 01983 822099 Ext 6246 or email volunteer@iow.nhs.uk
