Bookings are now being taken on Isle of Wight Council’s latest courses under its popular ‘Return to Sport’ scheme.

Starting in November, four new courses are being held across the Island from a variety of sports or activities.

A seven week badminton course gets underway on Tuesday 3rd November at West Wight Sports Centre between 1930 – 2030. It costs £14 per person, working out to just £2 per session.

On Monday 2 November, the Riverside Centre in Newport hosts Yoga evenings between 1800 – 1900. The eight week course costs £20 per person.

Two courses start on Monday 9 November. At Westridge Golf Centre near Ryde, a six week golf course gets underway. Held from 1800 – 1900 it costs £15 a person.

For those wanting a more physical workout – a gym and fitness course begins at the Pavilion Gym in East Cowes on the same day.

It takes place between 1000 – 1100 in the morning and is £12 for a six week course.

Return to Sport is an Isle of Wight Council Sports Unit scheme for people aged 16 and over who want to try a new sport or activity or are looking to get back into sport.
