The Met Office are warning of further snow showers expected for the Isle of Wight. Warning valid from 1145 Mon 11th March to 0900 Tuesday 12th March 2013.
According to the Met Office: In the south of the highlighted area, some longer spells of snow, are expected through the rest of today and overnight.
Snow will be accompanied by a strong northeasterly wind which will accentuate the very cold feel and cause lying snow to drift. For the most part only small amounts of snow are likely to settle on roads during the daytime, but from around dusk accumulations of 2-5 cm of snow could occur in places.
From UK Weather Forecast on Facebook. The snow will be heaviest East of the Isle of Wight and at it’s heaviest during this evening.
Strong winds will accompany the heavy snowfall leading to blizzard conditions at times.
