A national programme to measure the weight and height of school children in reception and Year 6 rolls out across the Island from the end of this week. The government-led programme aims to build national and local baseline data to help monitor and support children’s health needs more effectively and prevent barriers to learning. The Isle of Wight PCT and Councils childrens services have welcomed the move, which supports their joint work to promote children’s health on the Island.
