As we published earlier this week on the Making of the Wight Island Pulse can reveal the book’s author will be giving a talk on the history of the Isle of Wight at Freshwater Library on 11th December.

John Medland’s superbly illustrated book chronicles the history of the Island from the Roman Empire to the space rocket programme.  The book is an ideal introduction to the unique heritage on the Isle of Wight, featuring great events, characters and locations in Island history. 

John an accomplished author is also the Editor of the Isle of Wight Beacon and he will be giving a short talk about his new book which also incorporates material from the Beacon magazine “Island Story” series.  John will be at Freshwater Library on Tuesday December 11th at 11am. There will also be opportunities to buy copies of his book.
