Maintenance Work On Popular Cycle Track

From 1st February, parts of the Newport to Cowes cycle track will be closed over the next five weeks to allow for extensive maintenance and resurfacing.

The works will begin on Wednesday 1 February and will include filling in potholes, resurfacing parts of the track and repairing cracks.

The maintenance will happen over four separate phases. The first will involve the closure of the track between Arctic Road and Medham. Over the course of the next five weeks, parts of the track will also be closed between Medham to Stag Lane, Stag Lane to Dodnor Lane and Dodnor Lane to Riverway.

The dates when these closures will begin will be advertised both on site and on the council’s website under the roadwork’s section.

Diversions will be in place during the works. The council apologises for any disruption caused during these works.
