Maintenance Planned For Leisure Centre Pools

Jul 23rd, 2008 | By Simon Butler | In: Community, Council, Isle of Wight, Lifestyle, News

Essential maintenance work is to be carried out on the two pools at The Heights Leisure Centre in Sandown.  It will mean swimming will not be available for a scheduled two week period.

The council is keen to continue providing swimming during the summer period and school holidays at The Heights. Because of this, and the council’s free swimming for juniors scheme, the maintenance will not be carried out until the first week of September.

The pools will be closed between 1 - 14 September, although should maintenance work be completed before the end of the two weeks, the facilities will be opened to the public. Leisure centre staff have notified regular users and signs are being displayed advising of the closure.

The Heights other facilities, including the Tone Zone, Health Suite and squash courts, will remain open as normal during the maintenance period.

If you have any queries regarding the closure of the pool contact The Heights on (01983) 405594
