Mail Race Movie Filmed On Wight

The Mail Race is an exciting new ‘Movie’ currently in development which will be set on the Isle of Wight.
A preliminary website www.themailrace.com about this Great British Comedy has already been set up. As well as seeking out local talent on the Island the production company also invites Isle of Wight residents to support this project via way of ‘help in kind’ and ‘sponsorship’.
We are happy to have our first partnership with the following the Wight Film Network .
The ‘Mail Race’ production will have a named star and is scheduled to be made in the summer of 2010 for a theatrical release.
Apart from 4 Leads, Director & DOP we intend to get all our crew from the Isle of Wight and Extras/Minor Roles. This makes sense to us in giving character to the production that is in touch with the location and ‘feel’ we want to present. There is an added energy via the local support and its cost effective in having talent close to the set.
We intend to use the latest digital technology for a high quality HD movie. The schedule is to start casting in February with rehearsals in April/May/June too shoot in July 2010 with a theatrical release by the end of the year.
