MADCAP Murder Mystery On Wight

October half term on the Isle of Wight is going to be quite literally murder for young people (ages 10-17), who are set to turn detective in an innovative Murder Mystery event.

VIPs will turn into RIP s, as scriptwriters prepare murders most horrid for carefully selected characters. The gruesome acts will take place in and around the eastern seaside towns of the Isle of Wight between Tuesday October 28th and Friday October 31st.

The event hosted by MADCAP (Making a Difference Community Action Partners), a partnership of local organisations including representatives from Hampshire Constabulary, many IW Council departments, private and voluntary organisations as well as Rainer and the Community Rail Partnership.

Each day will start with a group presentation including a daily newspaper and many activities including at least two murders!
Members of the winning teams will be able to choose their prize (an X-BOX 360, Mountain bike, 16 plus driving lessons or a PSP for example).

All budding detectives need to be at venues at 10:00 am and will finish at 4:00 pm. You will be contacted nearer the time with the daily venue locations, or alternatively you can keep an eye on this website, the County Press or posters in your school.

A free shuttle bus service will be provided each day and details of this will be published prior to the event.
Volunteers are required to act as support workers helping to lead games and activities, role actors, minibus drivers and befrienders to help young people during the event.

Volunteer Age Suitability 16-17 year olds;18-25 year olds
Times Tuesday : Mornings and afternoons
