Staff of the Shrewsbury Cats Protection are seeking the owners of a cat which appears to have travelled 200 miles from the Isle of Wight.
The cat is luckily micro chipped, is named Bo and his owners live on the Isle of Wight.
Local volunteers from Cats Protection’s Isle of Wight Branch, have tried to contact Bo’s owners via letter and telephone, but so far have been unable to trace them.
Eve Dodds, Shrewsbury Cats Protection welfare and rehoming officer, said:
she thought the cat had been living rough for some time but was surprised at how tame he was.
We couldn’t believe it when we scanned him and found out he had a microchip.
A telephone call to his registered phone number revealed the number is not registered and a letter sent to his old address also proved fruitless.
Bo, is 11 years old and neutered, has been described as very friendly and very vocal.
“We can only assume that the owner has not changed the chip details when they moved.”
Anyone who can help is asked to contact the shelter on 01939 234736.
