Lights Camera Action @ IW Zoo
Aug 29th, 2008 | By Jenny Button | In: Education, Entertainment, Isle of Wight Event News, News, TourismToday (Friday) TV wildlife presenter ‘Nigel Marven’ will formally welcome ‘Rambo’ to his new home in the Pench Exhibit at the Isle of Wight Zoo. As part of Big Cat Week Nigel will also be prowling the zoo grounds during his stay so visitors will have the chance to pounce on him when he’s out and about.

If all goes to plan Rambo (pictured) will be putting his best paw forward in the Indian themed enclosure by the end of the day.
It will be ‘lights, camera, action‘ as during the course of the week the Tiger Island film crew catch up on the lives of the big cats; they will also be letting the cat out of their bag by giving visitors an insight into the making of series 1 and 2.
The Global Tiger Patrol charity will also be in residence today to speak to visitors about the plight of wild tigers and what the Isle of Wight Zoo’s new conservation project is doing to help.
During Big Cat Week, the zoo’s Animal Adoption Scheme will be running an offer to knock the cost of admission off the price of a big cat adoption package.
