This years Island Careers Learning and Guidance Event at Cowes High School was probably the biggest event of its kind in the country with over 2500 people attending, to visit over 100 exhibitors.  The event was aimed at encouraging people of all ages to find out more about education, training and career opportunities.

There were many prizes up for grabs the IWEP had a competition to win a 60GB iPod of which 311 people entered and Zoe Minshull, 14, of Cowes High was drawn as the lucky winner.  Lucy Johnson of Medina High School was an extremely lucky winner of 2 prize draws, the first being a basket full to the brim of Liz Earl Cosmetics and a Star Prize of a family trip with travel included to the Spinaker Tower sponsored by first time promoter Medina Housing.  Lucy said “it really was a very informative event and she was very surprised but very happy at scooping two of the top prizes”.
