Laura Boswell: Artist Networking Evening 28th January 2010 Quay Arts.

Laura Boswell is an artist and printmaker who recently completed an eight week residency at A.J. Wells & Sons Vitreous Enamellers, Newport, Isle of Wight. She was commissioned by Bucks County Council to create an artwork for Great Western Street in Aylesbury, Bucks.

With their support at A.J. Wells & Sons, Laura hand painted the largest enamel artwork of its kind in Europe – two street length landscapes which run the length of Great Western Street (5m x 70m).

The images aim to evoke the local rural landscape without being a direct representation of specific places. The project signifies the achievements that can be made when Island businesses and artists collaborate.
