‘Lapland New Forest’ Case Adjourned

Following on from the ‘Lapland New Forest’ christmas fiasco and as Island Pulse reported earlier:  after hundreds of complaints last Christmas, two brothers were charged last month:  Two Charged For Blunder in Lapland. 

Today Victor and Henry Mears of Lapland New Forest Ltd, pleaded not guilty to nine charges of engaging in a commercial practice which in a misleading action.

Dorset County Council trading standards brought about the case under the Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. They claim the average customer would have been misled by newspaper adverts, flyers and website information about what to expect at the attraction.

The case, at Bournemouth Crown Court, was adjourned and the brothers will attend another hearing on 22nd December.
