American singer/songwriter and ‘first lady of folk’ Julie Felix is returning to the Island, nearly 40 yrs after being one of the primary artists to appear at the 1969 Isle of Wight Festival.

Julie Felix Returns To The Isle of Wight.

She is ‘electric’ to say the least, performing her own material as well as Dylan classics, traditional Mexican folk songs and some surprises.

It is always an inspiration when Julie performs.  With enthusiasm, passion and humour always present in her messages of hope,  and she believes that the power of music can have a positive effect on our often harsh world.

Her 2008 tour celebrates, an astonishing forty-five years in the music business, and is accompanied by a new 13 track CD of the same name: Highway of Diamonds (see below).

She will be celebrating in her own inimitable style at Acoustics at the Altar on 12th September 2008.  Tickets £12.50 call (01983) 611913 or visit the Park Centre Website www.theparkcentre.org.uk

Take this opportunity to meet an icon of the 60’s and one of the great legends of folk music.
