Newsflash! the Organisers of the Isle of Wight Photographer of the Year 2007 (IWPOY) have been very busy since the close of the Competition and are now giving everyone a bonus opportunity to view the 50 Shortlisted Entries in an online Slideshow.

The competition closed on the 18th of October at which the Judges made the final 50 selection including choosing the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners.  All of the photographers who entered, will have to wait until the IWPOY Awards (invitation only event) on 1st December at the Quay Arts to see if they are one of the lucky three. 

IWPOY organisers state:

“We have already received numerous enquiries about next year’s IWPOY and will soon be announcing the details of the 2008 competition and opening the new gallery for entries.”

“A special thanks is due to our Island photographers for their continued support and enthusiasm for the IWPOY competition. With their help and the support from our sponsors the IWPOY is growing and let’s make the IWPOY 2008 even bigger and better yet again!”
