IW Ploughing Match
Sep 19th, 2008 | By Jenny Button | Isle of Wight News From The Island PulseThis Saturday (20th September) sees the Isle of Wight Ploughing Association stage their annual Ploughing Match at Hardingshute Farm, Brading.
Ploughing matches are held on a local level throughout the country.
Local societies can affiliate to the Society of Ploughmen and send their champion to compete in the British National Ploughing Championships.
The winning Island Champion ploughman could gain a chance to fight for the supreme honour of taking the British National title at the 58th British National Ploughing Championships and represent the country in the 2009 World Ploughing Contest.
