The Isle of Wight Celebrating Age Festival, which was launched last year, returns in 2008, to give people aged 50 years and above the opportunity to try a wide range of activities from petanque to pottery either free or at affordable prices.

The Festival, which is organised by Age Concern on behalf of the Older Person’s Voluntary Sector Network, begins on October 1st and will culminate with a Celebrating Age Day on 4th October at the Riverside Centre.

Festival organisers are looking for volunteer associations and groups promoting the well-being of older people that would like to participate in the event.

If you or your group would like to be involved, or if you would like to be sent further information about the Celebrating Age Festival please contact, Susan Graves at Age Concern  Isle of Wight on 01983 525282 or email susan.graves@aciw.org.uk
