Volunteers involved with any organisation working on the Isle of Wight are invited to nominate their organisation for the Volunteer Organisation Award for Best Practice.

These awards reward best practice in the co-ordination, training, support and recognition of volunteers and will promote the value of a positive volunteering experience as being important to the overall success of any volunteer involving initiative.

The Volunteer Centre are especially keen to receive nominations from individuals who receive extra support to enable them to volunteer, perhaps because you have an impairment or particular need.

Winning organisations will each receive a Best Practice awards plaque with Isle of Wight produce hampers for the volunteer managers and the volunteer who nominates them. There will be certificates for all nominated organisations.

Nominations close on Friday 4th September and the awards will be presented as part of the 1200 Strong Voluntary and Community Fayre at Brading Roman Villa on Saturday19th September.
