Isle of Wight View From The Top Business Networking Club.

Maggie Currie writes:  A new, monthly business network has been launched for people in business on the Isle of Wight.

The IOW View from the Top networking club will have a no formal membership policy and will allow people to build good connections, whilst allowing them to fit meetings around their busy lives.

Other than having a flexible attendance approach, the key to the success of this network is the timing of the events. Lunchtimes are generally far easier slots for people as, at that time, they don’t have the school run to deal with or other family issues they have at the beginning and end of the day.

Formal business networks assume that it has to be done a certain way – the way it’s always been done – and this just isn’t so – a little creativity goes a long way.  In future we have a coffee morning networking event or an afternoon cream tea networking event.

Just turn up, buy your lunch (not optional), network and build your business connections.  It couldn’t be simpler. There will be no membership fees, however there will be a one off charge of £5 per person to cover administration costs.

The very first ‘IOW View from the Top’ business networking meeting will be held on Wednesday, 4th June from 12.30pm to 2.00pm at the Ryde Castle Hotel, Esplanade, Ryde.  Lunch will cost £5 and will be a buffet style to ensure more networking.

Networking Club organiser Maggie Currie from Creedence Training, and founder members Lyn Blackledge from Usborne Books, Gary Cheeseman from Radi8 and Polly Stredder from the Rainbow Directory, say

“this will be a fantastic opportunity for sole traders, many of whom work from home, isolated with nobody to interact with all day to meet other like-minded business people.”

Come along, network, have fun and meet lots of interesting people.  Bring your business cards as there will be a ‘business card raffle’.  Having also secured the domain name http://www.iowviewfromthetop.co.uk/ watch out for more news and events in the coming months

For more information email Maggie at info@creedencetraining.co.uk and if you would like to attend our first networking club meeting it will give us some idea of the numbers to expect.
