Frontline sign of the times are Tri-signs, which have been attached to lampposts on seven streets around Ryde.
Tri-signs, is just one weapon in the Isle of Wight’s armoury to combat anti-social behaviour and criminal damage at the start of the summer tourist season.
The idea behind Operation Tri-signs, as the scheme is known, is to display reassurance messages to residents and a warning to criminals who might be operating in the area. Image: PC Mick Baxter pictured outside Ryde police station with a trisign.
