Welcome to Island Pulse

The Island Pulse News Team and Editor (pictured) would like to welcome everyone to ‘Island Pulse’ which we established in June 2006, with aims, to inform, entertain and offer all Isle of Wight residents the opportunity of becoming actively involved in this independent online lifestyle magazine. 

With thanks to the online community and regular contributions, our initial aim of integrating the Island Community has exceeded expectations, and this website for the Isle of Wight is now definately proving a place to be seen in.

Island Pulse is unique as being the first publication dedicated to citizen journalism on the Isle of Wight, and with the help of the community this website has grown to play a major role as a prominent online information provider for the entire Island.

The Island Pulse website and provision continues to evolve and we now are able to provide our visitors with Island Pulse Multimedia Streaming Video of News and Events, if you have any news or events planned which may be of interest to the Island Community, please email iwnewsdesk@islandpulse.co.uk 

We embrace community social enterprise and welcome shared experiences and successes, where ordinary people can write the news, get their pictures posted and express their views on any topic relating to Island life ‘live on the internet’.

Whilst writing the News is second nature to trained journalists, the Island Pulse Team actively encourage our readers to do it too.  We are always looking for contributors who would like to act as reporters in their chosen area, where they live, or would be arts critics who would like to have their say on the latest films, books or music.
 
It’s relatively simple to send in articles or pictures, especially via e-mail and suitable stories may also be picked up for possible publication in existing Island press.
